When our team arrived, we helped remove the tree so we could access the work area. We moved forward with completing a 200 amp overhead service on the exterior of the house, including a brand new 200 amp service wire, 200 amp meter base, 200 amp disconnect, 200 amp breaker panel with all new breakers, whole home surge protection, and brand new bonding and grounding.

Our team inspected and cleaned the coils, checked the blower motor, wiring, flame rod, flame, and burners, and confirmed the system was responding properly to the thermostat call for heat. The igniter was tested, found to be weak, and replaced with a new nitride ignitor upgrade kit after powering down the system and cleaning debris from the combustion area. A full system checkout was completed, and everything is working well, though the ductwork was noted to be dusty and could benefit from cleaning.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical replaced the main sewer line after determining the clog and backup were caused by a broken section of the existing sewer pipe. Our team removed a section of the driveway and excavated down to access the damaged line. Once exposed, the old pipe was removed and replaced with new piping from the existing sweep to the street. A new cleanout was installed and stubbed to surface level for future access. The new line was properly bedded in stone and all required testing was performed to confirm proper operation. After the work was completed, the excavation was backfilled to above grade in the yard and the removed section of the driveway was temporarily filled with stone until weather conditions allow for the asphalt to be replaced.

We pulled the necessary permits and coordinated PA One Call, then excavated and trenched from the home to the curb to access the damaged clay line. After safely exposing the pipe, we removed the failing section, bedded the trench with stone for stability, and installed new 4" PVC piping with two new cleanouts (one at the home and one at the curb) for easier future service. We also lined the section from the curb to the street, tested the system to confirm proper operation, and coordinated the township inspection. Once approved, we backfilled and restored the area, including replacing the concrete sidewalk.
