Job completed for Diane N.

This Camp Hill, PA homeowner contacted Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical because she wanted to replace the existing light fixture on her front porch. The original setup extended the light away from the electrical box, and the homeowner wanted a better lighting solution that would also work well with the storm door.

Our technician inspected the existing porch light and recommended replacing it with a recessed LED light to give the storm door more clearance. We removed the existing light and electrical box, carefully cut the soffit opening, and installed the new recessed light using the existing wiring. We also sealed the small openings around the new light to give the installation a clean, finished look. Once the work was complete, we tested the light to make sure it was working properly. The homeowner now has a new porch light that provides the needed lighting while sitting neatly in the soffit and staying out of the storm door’s way.
