We moved forward by removing the failed section and installing a new 3 inch PVC drain line to restore proper drainage and improve reliability. Once the repair was completed, the line was checked to confirm proper function and that the new piping was secure and draining as intended.

Our team then disconnected the oil supply and associated piping, removed the deteriorating water heater, and installed the new electric unit with updated water connections and required electrical components to support safe and reliable operation. After installation, we filled and tested the system to confirm proper performance, checked for leaks, verified electrical operation and temperature settings, and reviewed the completed work with the homeowner to ensure they understood the new system and to support reliable hot water service going forward.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical returned to replace the existing 100 amp overhead service with a new 200 amp overhead service, including a 200 amp disconnect, 200 amp meter, and a new 200 amp breaker panel with all new breakers and surge protection. We also re labeled the breaker panel to the best of our ability at the completion of the work, so the system is now much more organized and safe.

After reviewing those options, the customer chose to move forward with installing a new unit. Our team installed a new UV light system and check valve, then completed testing to confirm everything was operating properly and the system was functioning as intended.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical provided a service call and maintenance visit after the customer reported that when they ran the cooling, the outdoor unit would not operate. Upon inspection, we identified two fault codes at the indoor unit and four fault codes at the outdoor unit. It was determined that the system was low on refrigerant. We provided a quote to recharge the system and recommended performing a leak search at a later date. The customer approved the work, and 4 pounds 6 ounces of R 410A refrigerant were added to the outdoor unit to achieve 7 to 9 degrees of subcooling. After completing the repair, the system was tested in both cooling and heating modes to confirm proper operation.
