Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical installed a new fan and successfully worked around the height of the ceiling to complete the job safely and properly. The customer was so pleased with the quality of the work and the outcome that they asked us to add additional lights. During the conversation, the customer realized they also had three other small light fixtures that needed to be replaced. They wanted all of the light fixtures in the home to coordinate, so we went ahead and installed additional fixtures around the home.

Final result: The new electrical panel was completed, inspected, and approved as part of the permitted 100 amp service replacement project. All circuits were clearly labeled and professionally organized to provide safe, reliable power distribution and improved long term serviceability for the home’s electrical system.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical provided an evaluation and confirmed that the customer needed a spot repair on the main sewer line to address the sewage backup. We moved forward by excavating down to the broken section of pipe, removing up to 10 feet of the damaged line, and performing a camera inspection of the remaining sewer line to confirm that no additional repairs were needed. A new section of Schedule 40 PVC was installed with a 2 way cleanout, and the pipe was bedded in stone above and below to provide proper support. The line was then tested for proper function, and the trench was backfilled to above grade upon completion. During the process, the open area on the hill was dug to install the 2 way cleanout, and a camera and Picote were run to verify that the pipe was clean and clear.

Our team reset a tripped GFI, which restored power to the affected areas. We also brought to the customer’s attention that the breaker panel was very small and had many tandem breakers. The customer explained that there are many circumstances where the breakers trip. Our team recommended a full panel swap out along with installing two new kitchen circuits to help alleviate strain on the existing circuits and improve the overall reliability of the electrical system.

The installation required careful placement around the customer’s propane tanks, maintaining 5 feet of clearance from windows, 18 inches of rear clearance, and 36 inches of front and side clearance to allow for proper airflow and safe operation.
