The customer contacted Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical because sewage was backing up in the main drain in the basement floor. They reached out because they could not use the facilities without causing further backup and needed help addressing the issue as quickly as possible.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical provided an evaluation and confirmed that the customer needed a spot repair on the main sewer line to address the sewage backup. We moved forward by excavating down to the broken section of pipe, removing up to 10 feet of the damaged line, and performing a camera inspection of the remaining sewer line to confirm that no additional repairs were needed. A new section of Schedule 40 PVC was installed with a 2 way cleanout, and the pipe was bedded in stone above and below to provide proper support. The line was then tested for proper function, and the trench was backfilled to above grade upon completion. During the process, the open area on the hill was dug to install the 2 way cleanout, and a camera and Picote were run to verify that the pipe was clean and clear.
