The customer contacted Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical because they wanted maintenance done on their HVAC gas furnace one more time before the heating season was over. They were looking to have the system professionally inspected, cleaned, and serviced to help ensure it continued operating safely and efficiently through the remainder of the season, while also identifying any signs of wear or potential issues that could need attention before the unit was shut down for warmer weather.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical provided maintenance service on a gas furnace to keep the system operating safely and efficiently. Our team inspected and cleaned the coils, checked the blower motor, wiring, flame rod, flame, and burners, and confirmed the system was responding properly to the thermostat call for heat. The igniter was tested, found to be weak, and replaced with a new nitride ignitor upgrade kit after powering down the system and cleaning debris from the combustion area. A full system checkout was completed, and everything is working well, though the ductwork was noted to be dusty and could benefit from cleaning.
