Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical came out to evaluate the customer’s electrical issues. After reviewing the breaker panel and outside service, it was recommended that the outside service wire and meter base be replaced. The breaker panel was in decent condition, but it needed to be rewired, and the plywood backing behind the panel also needed to be updated. After our work was completed, the home’s electricity was fully restored.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical provided replacement of the old smoke detectors in the home to address the customer’s request for updated safety devices. Our team removed the old smoke detectors, installed brand new smoke detectors in their place, and verified that the new units were mounted properly and operating correctly.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical returned to replace the existing 100 amp overhead service with a new 200 amp overhead service, including a 200 amp disconnect, 200 amp meter, and a new 200 amp breaker panel with all new breakers and surge protection. We also re labeled the breaker panel to the best of our ability at the completion of the work, so the system is now much more organized and safe.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical evaluated the customer’s generator and reviewed all available options with her. After discussing the condition of the existing unit and long term reliability, the customer chose to convert from oil to gas. Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical completed a replacement of the 200 amp underground electrical service and installed a new 26KW whole home generator to provide safe, efficient, and dependable backup power for the home.
