Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical provided an evaluation and confirmed that the customer’s rusted drain piping had deteriorated to the point that repair was necessary. We moved forward by removing the failed section and installing a new 3 inch PVC drain line to restore proper drainage and improve reliability. Once the repair was completed, the line was checked to confirm proper function and that the new piping was secure and draining as intended.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical provided an evaluation and confirmed that the customer needed a spot repair on the main sewer line to address the sewage backup. We moved forward by excavating down to the broken section of pipe, removing up to 10 feet of the damaged line, and performing a camera inspection of the remaining sewer line to confirm that no additional repairs were needed. A new section of Schedule 40 PVC was installed with a 2 way cleanout, and the pipe was bedded in stone above and below to provide proper support. The line was then tested for proper function, and the trench was backfilled to above grade upon completion. During the process, the open area on the hill was dug to install the 2 way cleanout, and a camera and Picote were run to verify that the pipe was clean and clear.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical came out to evaluate the customer’s water system after the UV bulb stopped working and provided options for repair and replacement. After reviewing those options, the customer chose to move forward with installing a new unit. Our team installed a new UV light system and check valve, then completed testing to confirm everything was operating properly and the system was functioning as intended.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical resolved the issue by completing a full sewer line replacement and repair despite the lateral being at a significant depth, which required larger equipment. We pulled the necessary permits and coordinated PA One Call, then excavated and trenched from the home to the curb to access the damaged clay line. After safely exposing the pipe, we removed the failing section, bedded the trench with stone for stability, and installed new 4" PVC piping with two new cleanouts (one at the home and one at the curb) for easier future service. We also lined the section from the curb to the street, tested the system to confirm proper operation, and coordinated the township inspection. Once approved, we backfilled and restored the area, including replacing the concrete sidewalk.
