Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical provided service for the customer after they approved moving forward with the dryer vent cleaning and replacement of the vent termination to address concerns of a blockage in the vent caused by a bird’s nest. Our team first removed the existing vent termination, then thoroughly cleaned the dryer vent and removed the bird’s nest to restore proper airflow. We then installed the new termination and thoroughly tested everything.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical provided options for the customer after they contacted us about a whole home generator. We moved forward with the project and installed a 26KW Generac whole home generator with an automatic 200 amp transfer switch. The installation required careful placement around the customer’s propane tanks, maintaining 5 feet of clearance from windows, 18 inches of rear clearance, and 36 inches of front and side clearance to allow for proper airflow and safe operation.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical provided an evaluation of the home’s electrical system after the reported power surge and determined that replacement of the existing 100 amp service components was necessary for safety and reliability. We replaced all major components of the existing 100 amp service, including installation of a new 30 space 100 amp panel, new breakers, updated bonding and grounding with two new ground rods outside, a new 100 amp disconnect, new 100 amp meter base, new service cable, and a new weather head. We also included grounding and bonding of the gas and water systems, labeled the panel, and verified that most areas were functioning properly at completion.

Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical provided removal of the existing oil fired water heater and installation of a new electric water heater for the customer, beginning with a full inspection of the existing system and proper preparation of the work area to safely disconnect and remove the aging tank. Our team then disconnected the oil supply and associated piping, removed the deteriorating water heater, and installed the new electric unit with updated water connections and required electrical components to support safe and reliable operation. After installation, we filled and tested the system to confirm proper performance, checked for leaks, verified electrical operation and temperature settings, and reviewed the completed work with the homeowner to ensure they understood the new system and to support reliable hot water service going forward.
