This Mechanicsburg, PA homeowner contacted Handyside Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical because their dryer vent needed to be replaced. The venting wasn't set up correctly, and the homeowner wanted to be sure the dryer was venting safely to the outside.

Our technician found that the old vent connection was no longer connected to the outside. We replaced the existing vent line with rigid metal vent pipe and installed a new exterior dryer vent cover for a secure connection and proper airflow. At the homeowner's request, we also added a magnetic vent connection behind the dryer. This makes it easy to disconnect the vent for cleaning without pulling the appliance out. Once the work was complete, we tested the system to confirm air was flowing freely to the outside. The homeowner now has a safer, more accessible dryer vent system that's easy to clean and maintain for years to come.
